Flatirons Solutions Selected for XML Project with Harvard Business School Publishing

Boulder, CO (PRWeb) November 30, 2006 -- Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP) has selected Flatirons Solutions as its consulting partner for a project that will bring HBSP one step closer to achieving its goal of an enterprise-wide XML publishing standard. Flatirons Solutions will work with the company on a framework and supporting methodology to facilitate content search and management across the organization, with an initial focus on HBSP's Press division. In this first phase, Flatirons will design a scalable solution that will allow the conversion of legacy documents for HBSP.

"This is a great opportunity for Flatirons," said Greg Beserra, President of Flatirons Solutions. "We are excited about our involvement in the development of an XML publishing standard for Harvard Business School Publishing. We are confident that it will enable them to effectively manage their content and provide the groundwork for future process efficiencies."

"Managing our publications in XML, as enterprise content, will help us to become a truly digital publisher," said Scott Lubeck, Chief Technology Officer at Harvard Business School Publishing. "It will help to expand the reach and impact of the management ideas we publish -- management ideas that matter -- by enabling us to deliver content to our many customers in the multiple formats they desire."

The two-month project began in October 2006. It includes intensive content analysis and technology standards workshops with all groups within HBSP, with the goal of developing a framework that works for all content creators throughout the organization.
